Challenge Yourself: Music extravaganza raises nearly £500 for the Volunteer Centre
An audience of over 60 people enjoyed an excellent night of music from a wide range of performers including Village Jazz, Rebecca Madden, Janice Carol, Suzie Clements, Lesley Thomas and Ade Goodsall.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who supported the event especially the performers who donated their services to the event in order to support the work of the Volunteer Centre and local residents who donated their time and money while enjoying an evening of music at the same time.

Opportunity of the Week – Community Events and Fundraising Volunteer
We are not the only local organisation looking to raise funds to support their services.
The Royal Veterinary College Animal Care Trust is currently recruiting for a Community Events and Fundraising Volunteer.

Hide AdNo previous fundraising experience is necessary as the charity can provide assistance and support materials.
The range and frequency of fundraising events or activities will be determined by you as the volunteer, but ideally we would love for you to organise at least one a year.
This is a chance to learn new skills and have fun while fundraising in your community.
This opportunity is home-based so is very flexible and would suit somebody who has good organisational skills, good interpersonal skills, enjoys talking to people of all ages and backgrounds and works well as part of a team.
