Singer and TV personality Michelle Heaton was guest of honour at a charity bake sale in aid of Bliss, the premature and sick baby charity.
The bake sale, on March 14, at Leverstock Green School, was organised by parent governor Davinia Leggett and her son Noah, aged eight.
Davinia and Noah have supported Bliss since Davinia’s daughter Carys was born prematurely at 31 weeks and had to stay in hospital for more than two months. Carys is now two years old and thriving.
Davinia said: “We’ve been through a real journey as a family but feel totally blessed when we look at her now.
“As a way of saying thank you, Noah approached his headteacher to ask if we could have a bake sale to raise money for Bliss.”
After the bake sale, Michelle, who is a personal contact of Davinia’s, presided over a ‘lowest unique bid auction’ for an anti-gravity cake.
The sale and auction raised £333.52 for Bliss.
