Can you help provide prizes for charity ball?

The organisers of a glamorous charity ball are appealing for prizes for a raffle and auction.

The annual Masquerade Ball, at Aubrey Park Hotel, Redbourn, on June 17, will be raising money for four charities.

Milton Keynes-based Emily’s Star grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses, raises awareness of Trisomy 18 and provides neonatal boxes – ‘Emily’s Gift’ – to neonatal units for premature and underweight newborns.

Set up by Katie Elmer, it is named after her baby Emily, born with Trisomy 18, also known as Edward’s syndrome, who died after just 26 days.

Autism Bedfordshire supports children with autistic spectrum conditions and offers advice and support to their parents and carers.

It also provide activity schemes and play groups for children with autism.

Global’s Make Some Noise was created by the Global media and entertainment group to help small charities deliver life-changing work to children and their families who are living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.

The British Heart Foundation researches heart and circulatory diseases in an effort to fight and prevent cardiovascular disease. It also supports people suffering with cardiovascular disease to help them manage their condition.

Last year’s Masquerade Ball raised £3,000 for charity.

Tickets for this year’s event, supported by MKFM and hosted by Gold Radio’s Tony Dibbin, are £30 per person.
