And the club is calling for students to volunteer some of their time and perhaps to gain accreditation for CVs, university applications, Duke of Edinburgh awards or similar.

Camelot will be welcoming 72 teams and more than 3,000 visitors from 20 Hertfordshire clubs, therefore club members are very busy making preparations for the big event.

Volunteers are needed to assist as: Car park marshalls, roaming marshals (on walking routes to the club), pitch marshals and runners, food village volunteers, and stall volunteers.

With so many visitors attending, and so many of club members away at other rugby festivals in the county on the same day, Camelot would really appreciate any help possible.

The event runs from 8am to 4pm and lunch/teas/coffees will be provided.

If anyone can only help out for a few hours, an early shift would start from 7.30am (meet 7.15am) or the late shift from noon will run through to the close of play.

Tasks will be rotated and there will be time off to watch some rugby. For further information, please contact Quentin Halfyard on 07850 816008.
