A festive fun day is being held to celebrate the women’s cycling tour coming into Dacorum on Sunday, June 21.
Dacorum Borough Council is putting on the community fun day at the race’s finishing line at Gadebridge Park from 11.30am to 5pm.
On the day, the Women’s Tour will set off fromMarlow, passing through Tring, Aldbury, Ashridge and Potten End, Warners End and Boxmoor before sprinting to the finish line on the Leighton Buzzard Road by Gadebridge Park, in Hemel Hempstead.
The borough council wants the whole community to get involved, with lots of activities planned. There will be food and drink on sale, funfair rides and cycle activities for all the family.
Local businesses have the chance to promote themselves with stalls and workshops, including crafts, trade, health and beauty and sport.
Marketing and tourism officer, Sue Lea, said: “Last year the men’s tour attracted around 25,000 spectators throughout the borough. As it is a weekend race finale this year, we are expecting even more people to turn out.
“We would like to encourage local businesses to make the most of the opportunities this exciting sporting event offers. This is a great opportunity for local businesses in helping to raise the profile of Dacorum.”
Pitch spaces are available on a first come, first served basis for £100 plus VAT.
