Box Moor Trust is honoured with volunteering award

A good cause that safeguards Boxmoor’s open space has received an award in recognition of excellence in volunteer management.

The Box Moor Trust has been presented the annual Lees Award from the Dacorum Volunteer Centre.

The accolade is named after Betty Lees MBE - a tireless supporter of the Dacorum voluntary sector.

It is an extra special gong because organisations are nominated by volunteers themselves.

Trust spokesman Elaine Rushton said: “It is a testament to the outstanding work of our education and community team co-ordinator Caroline Evans and her team.”
