Sunnyside Rural Trust provides work skills in horticulture to adults with learning disabilities at three sites in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Northchurch.

They grow fruit and vegetables to organic principles, plants, keep chickens, make preserves and sell these as part of their social enterprise.

The charity works with over 120 local people with learning disabilities, most of whom would not be able to attend if it wasn’t for transport to and from their home or supported living accommodation.

The Auction of Promises is at 7.30pm on Friday, March 4, at the Aubrey Park Hotel, in Redbourn, starting with a glass of wine and some light refreshments.

Tickets for the event are £7.50 and can be purchased from the Hemel Food Garden farm shop, off Two Waters Way, Hemel Hempstead or via www.ticketsource.co.uk/sunnysideruraltrust
