Jarman Park in Hemel, the former Leisure World site, will soon be home to the Italian restaurant chain.

The pizza, pasta and grill restaurant, which already has 165 outlets around the country will open at the site in July.

And job seekers in the area could benefit, as the firm is currently hiring.

Roles include an assistant manager and head chef post, with salaries on offer of £18- £24,000.

The job description for assisant manager says that all applicants must: “Always puts customers first, doesn’t think twice about going the
extra mile and making each visit a long lasting memory.”

The space, off St Albans Road has seen major improvement work in recent months, and 1,505sqm of the site has been allocated for food retailing.

A further 8,800sqm will be used for non-retail ventures, and it is believed that Toys R Us, has shown an interest in opening a superstore at the site.

Owned by the Tesco Pension Fund, the development
already features Coast To Coast, Frankie & Benny’s, Subway and Chiquito restaurants, as well as the regenerated Planet Ice rink.

A recent planning application, by the site’s owners, asked Dacorum Borough Council’s development control committee to consider plans for a further retail development, car parking spaces and a drive through coffee shop.

A supporting statement in the application submitted in February, said: “This proposed high quality retail development forms the final piece of the jigsaw, completing the regeneration of Jarman Park as a ‘one stop’ leisure and shopping destination.”
