Beavers go undercover to become Cubs

Parents and visitors to 5th Hemel Hempstead (AFC) witnessed a colourful spectacle on Friday, as 16 Beavers disappeared one at a time under a rippling parachute in turquoise Beaver jumpers and appeared out the other side in a green Cub uniform.

5th Hemel Hempstead Beaver Colony opened in January 2015 after an absence of Scouting at the Adeyfield Free Church for almost 12 years.

The return of Beavers to the church group has been so successful that 16 very excited ‘older’ members took the journey up to Cubs to form a new Cub pack.
