Award for cutting mortality rates
West Herts Hospitals Trust has been shortlisted for a prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Award.
The Trust has been shortlisted for the Patient Safety category for their changes to hip fracture treatment, affecting around 450 patients per year, which have resulted in a 50 per cent reduction in mortality rates since 2013. The winners will be announced on November 18.
