The Akeman is closed this week for refurbishment ahead of seventh birthday celebration
A popular Tring restaurant and bar has closed its doors for refurbishment ahead of its seventh birthday celebration on Friday.
The Akeman is being rejuvenated with some ‘sparkle’ ahead of the anniversary.
Marketing manager Sarah Sansom said: “It is just to add a bit of sparkle because the site is seven years old now.

Hide Ad“We are looking at the flooring, updating some of the furniture, creating more space for people to have their coffee in the morning because this has become really popular.”
She said the toilets will also be given an overhaul.
The Akeman Street venue, run under Oakman Inns and Restaurants, closed on Sunday evening and will reopen on Friday morning with a birthday party planned for the evening.
