VIDEO: Wild night out at Whipsnade Zoo

It was a wild night out for animals and humans alike at Whipsnade Zoo on Saturday (June 29).

More than 6,000 visitors enjoyed a warm summer evening at the zoo which opened its doors after hours to let guests see what the animals get up to at night.

Live shows and keeper activities including a tiger talk, lion feed, wolves’ tea time and giraffe graze gave a fascinating insight into life at the zoo.

Once the animals had been fed it was the humans’ turn to enjoy some grub, from a range of food stalls including hog roast, curry and BBQ.

African acrobats, Zulu drummers and carnival bands entertained visitors, and the evening finished with a spectacular Afrikan Warriors Finale.
