The first homes at a new canalside development in Hemel Hempstead are going on sale in August.

Bellway is building 56 new homes at Westbrook Moorings – which has been named to reflect the area’s mooring heritage and nearby Westbrook Mere – off Pix Farm Lane, Bourne End, located alongside the Grand Union Canal.

The first houses will be released for sale at an official launch at the dedicated on site sales centre on Saturday, August 14.

Once complete, the development will provide 33 homes for private sale and 23 affordable properties available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

Greg Allsop, sales and marketing director of Bellway North London, said: “Westbrook Moorings is making a really positive contribution to the village of Bourne End, transforming a former contractors’ yard into an attractive new residential community.

“The development’s rural backdrop will make it ideal for those looking for peaceful countryside living, whilst still being close to Berkhamsted town centre, just two miles away, and great transport links.

"The A41, M1 and M25 are easily accessible and Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead train stations are both just a short drive away for services to London Euston.

“The variety of house styles we are delivering here – with two, three and four-bedroom designs – will attract a range of buyers at different stages of the property ladder, including first-time buyers, those looking for larger family homes or buyers who need more space to work from home.

“This is the first Bellway North London development to feature houses from the Artisan Collection – Bellway’s new flagship range of house types which have been proving incredibly popular elsewhere in the country.

“Not only will all homes benefit from allocated parking, but plans for the scheme also include a landscaped village green to be situated by the Grand Union Canal.

“Due to its desirable location and attractive features, we expect the homes at Westbrook Moorings to be in high demand and I would encourage prospective buyers to register their interest in advance of the launch.”

Bellway’s Artisan Collection has been developed from years of customer feedback and combines traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail with the very latest construction techniques.
