Cllr Griffiths, said: “To be able to complete new homes this year is an enormous achievement by our development team and Jarvis Contracting.

"It shows Dacorum Borough Council’s commitment to our successful building programme, which is delivering a legacy of new homes for the borough.

"My thanks also go to our consultants and the construction team at Jarvis on the delivery of this outstanding project.

“Situated on the Grand Union Canal, within walking distance of Apsley train station (which has a direct connection to London Euston) and providing easy access to other local amenities, Magenta Court is in a great location to enable its new occupants to enjoy becoming part of the local community.

"This is a truly stunning development and a place that we hope residents will be proud to call home.”

Mark Doyle, Jarvis Contracting CEO, said: “Anyone associated with the Magenta Court project can only feel an enormous sense of pride.

"The scheme was deceptively challenging because of multiple and significant issues below ground, so I am full of admiration for Dacorum Borough Council for remaining committed to this development and for not compromising on the design, which compliments and completes a very charming wider estate, whilst using land that has been an eyesore for many years.

"The quality of this new development is exceptional and will provide much needed new homes to very happy local families.”
