Hollie Woodham got the idea after watching the news and seeing the amazing feat of Captain Tom Moore and decided she wanted to do something herself.

Hollie's mum Gemma told us that her daughter explained that as she's six-years-old she wants to raise £60 “because £6 wouldn't be very much” by running 60 laps of the green outside their house every day for 6 days.

Each lap is 90 metres, meaning she will be running just over three miles a day.

Gemma said: “We've always known what a thoughtful girl she is, but this idea of hers and her determination to do something good to help others just blew us away. She really is a ray of sunshine and an inspiration.”

When we asked why she chose this particular activity, her mum said: “Hollie loves to run and won the sprint in last year's sports day.”

Judging by the pictures she may be one to watch for the future!

As for hitting her target of £60, well at the time of writing, just halfway through her challenge, the total raised stands at £430.

When Hollie learned that she had already smashed her target she told her parents: “Yes! More money for the amazing NHS! it makes me happy knowing I'm helping people.”
