Hemel Hempstead MP warns against vaccine scammers

With GP-led local vaccination centres beginning to open their doors in Hertfordshire, Sir Mike Penning is warning people to be vigilant of scammers.
In line with national guidance and to protect those who are the most as risk first, the vaccine is initially being offered to people aged over 80.

Hide AdGP practices are working through their patient lists and will contact people when it is their turn to be vaccinated.
Sir Mike Penning said: “The new vaccines for covid-19 are the great success story of this whole pandemic, but it didn’t take long before criminals were taking advantage.
"Incredibly, within days of their approval, criminals have been calling local people offering faster vaccines for a fee.
“Quite simply, the vaccine is only available on the NHS, the NHS will contact you to tell you when and where to get your vaccination and the vaccination is free.
