Coronavirus latest: Two new confirmed cases in Dacorum

There have been two new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Dacorum, the total for the borough is now 545, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There have been 20 new cases in Hertfordshire, there are now 4,406 cases in the county.

Owing to technical difficulties, Public Health England did not publish the figures on August 11.

Previous data shared by Public Health England relied solely on Pillar 1 (testing from Public Health England and NHS Hospital Trusts), but as of Thursday, July 2, the information includes Pillar 2 (non-clinical and commercial testing).

It has seen a radical overhaul of how coronavirus infection data is presented across the country, with hundreds of new cases emerging in individual authorities.

The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had a positive test result for COVID-19 in Dacorum is 104.

There have been 313,798 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.

The number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths has been recorded as 46,706 (deaths of people who have had a positive test result) - according to Public Health England.

The number of deaths are people who have had a positive test result confirmed by a Public Health or NHS laboratory.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from COVID-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Sunday, August 9, and 5pm on Tuesday, August 11.
