Coronavirus latest: Two new confirmed cases in Dacorum

There have been two new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Dacorum, the total for the borough is 503, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There have been eight new cases in Hertfordshire, there are now 4,162 cases in the county.

Previous data shared by Public Health England relied solely on Pillar 1 (testing from Public Health England and NHS Hospital Trusts), but as of Thursday, July 2, the information includes Pillar 2 (non-clinical and commercial testing).

One new coronavirus death has been recorded at West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust in the past 24 hours, the latest official figures show.

NHS England figures show 369 people had died in hospital at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust as of 5pm on Monday, July 13.

Of 23 trusts within the region, West Hertfordshire Hospitals trust, which manages hospitals in Hemel Hempstead, Watford and St Albans, has the highest death toll.

There have been 291,373 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.

The number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths has been recorded as 44,968, rising by 138 (deaths of people who have had a positive test result) - according to Public Health England.

The number of deaths are people who have had a positive test result confirmed by a Public Health or NHS laboratory.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from COVID-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Sunday, July 12, and 5pm on Monday, July 13.
