Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records over 300 new cases in 48 hours

Dacorum has recorded 307 new positive Covid-19 cases since Christmas Eve.

The total for the borough is now 3,554, according to the latest figures from Public Health England. On Christmas Day, the cases rose by 222, and there have been 85 new cases today.

There are now 32,206 positive cases in Hertfordshire.

There has been one new death recorded in Dacorum, the total is 124, and there have been 17 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 1,111 - according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen to 2,256,005 and the deaths have risen to 70,405.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Thursday, December 24, and 5pm on Friday, December 25.
