Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records over 20 new cases in 24 hours

There have been 25 new positive Covid-19 tests in Dacorum in the last 24 hours.
The total for the borough is now 1,312, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There have been no new deaths of a patient testing positive for Covid-19 in Dacorum. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had a positive test result for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test in Dacorum is 103, according to Public Health England.
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 24,405 and now stands at 989,745.
The latest R number is estimated at 1.1 to 1.3 with a daily growth rate range of 2% to 4%.
The number of deaths has risen by 274 to 46,229.

Hide AdThe death toll has been 'recalculated' by officials. The new count is based on a new definition of who has died from Covid-19.
Previously, people in England who died at any stage following a positive test, regardless of the cause of their death, were counted in the figures.
However, there is now a cut off point of 28 days from the first laboratory-confirmed positive COVID test.
The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
