Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 97 new cases in 24 hours

Dacorum has recorded 97 new positive Covid-19 cases today (January 19).
The total for the borough is now 6,686, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Hide AdThe incidence rate over the last 7 days is 460.7 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending January 14).
Here is a breakdown of where the confirmed cases were recorded seven days up to January 13There have been 724 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 61,366.
According to Public Health England there were 347 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, January 12, and 23 were on mechanical ventilation beds.
There have been five deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is now 201, and there have been 56 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 1,631- according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

Hide AdNationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 33,355 and now stands at 3,466,849. The number of deaths has risen by 1,610 to 91,470.
In the UK, as of January 18, 4,266,577 people in the UK had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 456,866 had received their second dose.
The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Sunday, January 17, and 5pm on Monday, January 18.
