Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 29 cases over the weekend

Dacorum has recorded 29 new positive Covid-19 cases over the weekend.
The total for the borough is now 7,906 according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Hide AdOn Saturday, 18 cases were recorded, and there were 11 cases recorded yesterday (Sunday).
The incidence rate over the last 7 days has decreased from 136.3 per 100,000 to 124.1 per 100,000 (the period represented is the 7 days ending February 9).
On February 7, the incidence rate was 232.6 per 100,000 (the period represented is the 7 days ending February 2).
There have been 320 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 72,306.

Hide AdAccording to Public Health England there were 189 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, February 9, and 14 were on mechanical ventilation beds.
There have been two new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is now 299. There were another 21 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 2,300 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).
In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases is 4,038,078 and the number of deaths is now 117,166.
As of February 13, in the UK, 15,062,189 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 537,715 had received their second dose.
