Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 24 new cases in 24 hours

Dacorum has recorded just 24 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours of data released this afternoon (February 10).
The total for the borough is now 7,819 according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Hide AdHere is a breakdown of where the confirmed cases were recorded seven days up to February 4. The incidence rate over the last 7 days has decreased from 190 per 100,000 to 167.3 per 100,000 (the period represented is the 7 days ending February 5).
On February 3, the incidence rate was 263 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending January 29).
There have been 198 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 71,499.

Hide AdAccording to Public Health England there were 215 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, February 2, and 19 were on mechanical ventilation beds.
There have been four new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is now 291. There were another 29 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 2,251 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).
Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 13,013 and now stands at 3,985,161. The number of deaths has risen by 1,001 to 114,851.
As of February 9, in the UK, 13,058,298 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 519,553 had received their second dose.

Hide AdThe figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Monday, February 8, and 5pm on Tuesday, February 9.
