Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 112 new cases over the weekend

Dacorum has recorded 112 new positive Covid-19 cases over the weekend.

The total for the borough is now 7,485 according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

On Saturday, 67 cases were recorded, and there were 45 cases recorded yesterday (Sunday).

The incidence rate over the last 7 days has gone down from 318.6 per 100,000 to 279.1 per 100,000 (the period represented is the 7 days ending January 26).

On January 24, the incidence rate was 387.7 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending January 19).

There have been 891 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 68,494 67,603.

Here's a daily breakdown of the figures for the last seven days:

> January 25 - 47 cases

> January 26 - 35 cases

> January 27 - 48 cases

> January 28 - 98 cases

> January 29 - 70 cases

> January 30 - 67 cases

> January 31 - 45 cases.

According to Public Health England there were 267 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, January 26, and 19 were on mechanical ventilation beds.

Since Thursday (January 28), there have been threet new deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is now 263, and there have been 63 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 2,034 1,971 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases is 3,817,176 and the number of deaths is now 106,158.

As of January 30, in the UK, 8,977,329 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 491,053 had received their second dose.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
