Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records 104 new cases in 24 hours

Dacorum has recorded 104 new positive Covid-19 cases today (January 18).
The total for the borough is now 6,589, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Hide AdThe incidence rate over the last 7 days is 465.2 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending January 13).
There have been 910 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 60,642.
According to Public Health England there were 347 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, January 12, and 23 were on mechanical ventilation beds.
There have been no deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 196, and there have been 11 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 1,575 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

Hide AdNationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 37,535 and now stands at 3,433,494. The number of deaths has risen by 599 to 89,860.
In the UK, as of January 17, 4,062,501 people in the UK had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 452,301 had received their second dose.
The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Saturday, January 16, and 5pm on Sunday, January 17.
