11 new Covid-19 cases in Dacorum but no deaths

There have been 11 new positive Covid-19 tests in Dacorum in the last 24 hours, the total for the borough is now 730, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were 75 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 6,006.

There were no new deaths of patients testing positive for Covid-19 in either Dacorum or Herts. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had a positive test result for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test in Dacorum remains at 94, in Hertfordshire it remains at 858 deaths.

The total number of cases in the UK has fallen in the last 24 hours with 6,914 positive tests. The overall total is now 460,178.

There were 59 deaths today, 12 lower than the two days previous. Five of the 59 deaths were in the South East region.

The total number of recorded deaths now stands at 42,202.

Nationally, the death toll has been 'recalculated' by officials. The new count is based on a new definition of who has died from Covid-19.

Previously, people in England who died at any stage following a positive test, regardless of the cause of their death, were counted in the figures.

However, there is now a cut off point of 28 days from the first laboratory-confirmed positive COVID test.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Tuesday, September 29, and Wednesday, September 30.
