The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 includes nearly 1,400 universities across 92 countries, based on performance indicators which measure performance across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

These are the top 15 universities in the UK, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020.

The University of Oxford ranks as number 1 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020
The University of Cambridge ranks as the 3rd best, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020.
Imperial College London ranked 10th in the list.
University College London ranked high in the list, taking the 15th spot.
The University of Edinburgh took the 30th spot.
The London School of Economics and Political Science came joint 27th, ranking alongside Carnegie Mellon University in the United States.
Kings College London also ranked in the top 50, taking joint 36th place, alongside the University of Tokyo.
The University of Manchester ranks as number 55 in the list.
The University of Warwick ranks comfortably within the top 100 universities, taking the 77th spot.
The University of Birmingham follows closely behind, ranking as 112th.
The University of Glasgow also ranks within the top 100, taking place 99.
Queen Mary University of London takes place 110
Not too far behind is the University of Bristol, which ranks as number 87.
The University of Sheffield ranks as number 117 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020.
The University of Southampton takes spot number 122.
