Coronavirus latest: here’s how many new cases have been recorded in Dacorum over the weekend

Dacorum has recorded 13 new positive Covid-19 cases over the weekend.

The total for the borough is now 8,359, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

On Saturday 10 cases were recorded and there were three cases were recorded yesterday (Sunday).

The incidence rate over the last 7 days has decreased from 37.5 per 100,000 population to 30.4 per 100,000 (the period represented is the 7 days ending March 16).

On March 14, the incidence rate was 59.4 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending March 9).

There have been 121 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 75,452.

> March 19 - five cases

> March 20 - 10 cases

> March 21 - three cases.

According to Public Health England there were 42 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, March 16, and 14 were on mechanical ventilation beds.

There have been no new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 318, and three new deaths recorded in Hertfordshire, the total is 2,449 - according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases is 4,296,583 and the number of deaths is now 126,155.​

The estimated R number is 0.6 to 0.9 with a daily infection growth rate range of -6% to -3% as of March 19.

As of March 20, in the UK, 27,630,970 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 2,228,772 had received their second dose.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
