CCTV image released after attempted burglary at Next in Hemel Hempstead shopping centre

Police investigating an attempted burglary in Hemel Hempstead have released the CCTV image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 4.15pm on Tuesday, May 11, May, a person went behind the counter in the Next store in Riverside and tried unsuccessfully to force open a till.

The person in the image was in the store at the time and could have information to assist enquiries.

Detective Constable Steve Whittaker, who is investigating, said: “If you recognise the person in this image and can help us to identify them then please get in touch.

“We believe they may be able to help with the investigation into this incident.
