Hemel Hempstead BID, in partnership with Riverside Shopping Centre, The Marlowes Shopping Centre, Dacorum Borough Council and Saunders Markets have created a new Hemel Together video.

The video, which was produced by Big Head Content, is aimed at people who might feel nervous returning to the town centre after lockdown, and would benefit from seeing what the 'new normal' looks like.

"A number of risk assessments and safety measures have been put in place to ensure the town centre can be used safely.

“It is our priority to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and the businesses which operate there, and this is an important step on the road to recovery for the local economy.”

Naomi said: "One of the questions Hemel BID receives most frequently is, 'what is it like to visit Hemel with the new safety measures in place?'.

"We have created this short video to answer that question.

"Most of our businesses in Hemel have reopened now, or are preparing to reopen, and the measures put into place by the Hemel Together partnership and businesses are there for everyone's safety.

"You can still enjoy a coffee, or pick up new clothes for the children, we just all need to work together to keep our distance while doing so."

Both The Marlowes and Riverside have implemented safety measures in their shopping centres.

"It also provides the guests with confidence on the safety measures that have been put in place for their benefit, the safety of our community is our highest priority always #hemeltogether."

Ian Welland, Riverside Shopping Centre manager, said: "The video is another aspect of how Hemel Hempstead Town Centre has worked together during this challenging retail period.

"The aim of the video is to show our shoppers how Hemel is prepared and welcomes back shoppers."
