Chloe, co-manager of The Plough, said: "We have been delivering to all frontline workers, two weeks ago we delivered to the fire station and this weekend we delivered to a local hospice.

"Our social media manager lady contacts frontline workers or the organisations to see if they would like a roast delivered.

"Over the last four weeks we have donated over 100 meals to frontline workers and NHS staff, with The Plough and our sister sites.

"We think it is really important to appreciate those on the frontline and NHS workers, all the time, not just during difficult times.

"They fully deserve all the recognition they are getting and we wanted to do something to show our appreciation.

"People we have delivered the meals to have really enjoyed them and the response to what we have been doing has been great."

The pub is currently closed but is offering delivery and take away service.

"It has been really tough but we are hoping that next month we will be able to open, in line with government guidance.

"We already have hand sanitiser available for customers for when they enter and leave the pub and we have all the markings and 2 metre distances marked out.

"We have things set in place already for when we are allowed to open, we are positive with new systems that we can maintain social distancing to keep our customers safe.

"We will utilise the garden area, it's quite a large space so we are getting marquees and gazebos to go out there so people can enjoy food and drinks in the garden, in any weather.
