Garden Centres in Hemel Hempstead will reopen this week

British Garden Centres is opening it's centres in Hemel Hempstead, Tring and Kings Langley tomorrow (Wednesday, May 13), after weeks of lockdown closure.
Hemel Hempstead Garden Centre, Pipers Hill, Great Gaddesden, Hemel Hempstead; Tring Garden Centre, Bulbourne Road, Tring; and Chipperfield Garden Centre, Tower Hill, Chipperfield, Kings Langley will implement strict social distancing measures and only allow a limited number of customers in at the same time.

Hide AdOn the British Garden Centres website it says: "We are opening under the clear social distancing rules set by Westminster and our trade body, The Horticultural Trades Association.
"Our first priority will always be the safety of our colleagues therefore we ask you to respect all the measures we have put in place.
"In addition, we want you to feel safe and we will do all we can to ensure this is the case when you visit a British Garden Centre.
"We would prefer you to shop in groups of a maximum of two but understand that may not be possible due to care responsibilities for other family members.

Hide Ad"If you are visiting in a group of 3 or more please speak with the entry attendant on how we would like you to shop with us i.e. only one of the group to go the payment desk at the end of your visit etc.
"We continue to offer home delivery on a wide range of products from our online shop.
"Some centres will also be offering click and collect but please bear with us as it may take a little longer than usual to prepare your order.
"Some of our suppliers are only just coming back to work this week so on occasions you may not find exactly what you are looking for BUT the centres are full of wonderful plants, gardening goods, birdcare, compost etc. Come along with a flexible shopping list and we are confident you will go away very happy!"

Hide AdHillier Garden Centre Hemel Hempstead will re-open on Thursday, May 14, but the restaurant will remain closed until further notice.
Hemel Hydro garden centre in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead, will be re-opening tomorrow (Wednesday). A spokesman for the shop said: "We are following government guidelines and will be re-opening tomorrow.
"We have social distancing measures in place, we are a small shop compared to some of the larger centres and we will be operating a one in, one out service. There will also only be one person serving."
Four Acres Nursery, Hemel Hempstead Road, Dagnall, Berkhamsted, is offering a click and collect service or an appointment only.

Hide AdWendy Harvey, owner of the company, said: "We are offering click and collect so they can ring up and place an order or go on the Facebook page and then come to the gate and collect it.
"Or they can ring and book an appointment, so there will be no queues and it will be one in one out, to ensure social distancing."
