Waterside launch autumn season

EXPECT fantastic entertainment at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre this autumn with a whole host of acts recently being announced.

Music legend David Essex is back to perform his class hits with his Rock Tour which is sure to send “girls” (of a certain age!) swooning.

David is now also known as an accomplished actor and composer and was recently seen as Eddie Moon in Eastenders and in his own stage musical, All The Fun of the Fair.

Other highlights include the world premiere of The Incredible Doctor Guttmann, about the founder of the paralympics, who worked in the venue’s home town. Based on a true story.

More to look forward to this autumn is the RSC’s stunning performance of Julius Caesar, the exhilarating play Blue/Orange, which won every major award for Best New Play when it made its National Theatre debut, Dickens’ Great Expectations and the sensational toe-tapping musical 42 Street.

One of the UK’s best tribute shows Buddy Holly and the Cricketers will have everyone up on their feet as they divulge in hits from Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, Little Richard, The Beatles and many more.

On top of all this the Theatre will be using their flexible spaces for events including the Ice the Cake Wedding Show, Ladies and the Tramps Fashion Show and Flower Arranging with Neil Gurney.

Tickets are already selling fast for Peter Pan, starring Strictly star Russell Grant.

Looking further ahead The spine-chilling Waman In Black returns to the stage, a hilarious version of the 39 Steps and the legendary Agatha Christie whodunnit, The Mousetrap, visit the Waterside.
