Fawlty Towers brought to the stage

The show was written by John Cleese and his then-wife Connie Booth, both of whom also starred in the show.

It was based on a real life experience Cleese had whilst on holiday in Torquay and the plots centers on tense, rude and put-upon owner Basil Fawlty, his bossy wife Sybil, comparatively normal chambermaid Polly and hapless Spanish waiter Manuel, showing their attempts to run the hotel amidst farcical situations and an array of demanding and eccentric guests.

Director Jo Taylor comments: “The great thing about Fawlty Towers is that it hasn’t aged. Each episode remains hugely funny due to the witty scripts and hilarious characters.

“We have remained faithful to the original and our cast is fantastic, so everyone coming to see it is guaranteed a very entertaining night out.”
