Equus Productions presents the Flint Street Nativity, which will be showing at the Espinosa Centre, Berkhamsted, from December 11-13.

Squabbles will arise when Gabriel wants to play Mary, the Star grumbles he’s not a proper star like they have at NASA, Herod won’t stop waving to his mum and dad and the subversive Innkeeper is determined to really liven up the traditional script. And then the stick insect escapes.

The children are played by adults, who later play their parents. This warm, witty, funny play is an ideal alternative to the usual Christmas fare with original lyrics set to the tunes of well-known Christmas carols.

Equus was founded by Andrew Faber and Fiona Quilter-Wood who between them have more than 70 years’ involvement with the performing arts.

Andrew’s experience ranges from acting, directing, stage-managing, fight-directing and producing plays and musicals for adults and children. As a professional voice-over artist he specialises in cartoon and novelty characters. Fiona trained as a dancer and actor at the Arts Educational School in Tring.

Both Andy and Fiona perform regularly in a variety of local venues. Their aim with Equus is to create a company that produces quality theatre without any of the associated dramas!
