Big band special at Court Theatre
TICKETS are selling fast for the Festival Big Band Special, starring the multi award-winning Aylesbury Music Centre Big Band, which takes place at The Court Theatre, Tring, on Sunday, July 1. It features celebrity soloists Django Bates, one of the major influences in European Jazz over the past thirty years, Iain Ballamy and Chris Batchelor.
This is the 14th year of this hugely popular event and comes just six days after the band play before The Queen at the Henley Festival.
Event manager Ian Martin said: “These three giants of the contemporary international jazz scene were all founder members of the extraordinary jazz orchestra, Loose Tubes. All three of these artists have also worked with the great South African Jazz legend Dudu Pukwana.”
Past concerts have featured, among others Sir John Dankworth, Kenny Baker, Lee Gibson, Salena Jones and Django Bates.
