Amos’ awkward set is a laugh
Stephen K Amos – a regular on programmes such as Live At TheApollo, Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You – may not seem to be one one of life’s awkward customers, but that’s exactly what he is aiming to be in his new touring show.
In Welcome To My World – which visits Tring’s Court Theatre on Sunday, October 12 – the funnyman will be putting some big questions on the table about world affairs and discrimination.

Having had enough of being asked the same questions time and time again, such what the K in his name stands for, Amos is looking to tackle much more serious subjects in a light-hearted manner.
He said: “Even in this day and age, we still don’t like to talk about things like race and sexuality or how much money you earn, all those awkward dinner party conversation fillers.
“There’s a certain weirdness that can spark up in those areas and that gives me a springboard to be awkward within the show and ask the audience the awkward, challenging questions.”
