Sizzling passion of Verdi by opera group
SINGERS from throughout the Chiterns, including talent from Pitstone, will be performing Verdi’s Il Trovatore with the Aylesbury Opera Group on November 19 at the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul in Tring.
The production will not be in costume because the emphasis will be on Verdi’s magnificent music. The concert will feature 90 minutes of music plus an interval.
The plot centres on a love triangle between the troubador Manrico, the Count de Luna and the Lady Leonora, and the music includes the popular Anvil Chorus.
