Fur, fluff, feathers and fun at Whipsnade Zoo

And their keepers surprised them with special treats before the attraction opened to the public on Saturday.

Luke Moran, three, got up close with cute newborn chicks, which hatched just in time for the Easter holidays, and had a cuddle with white fluffy bunny Millie.

He also met miniature donkeys Trevor and Tulip and helped the bunnies celebrate moving into their new home with a welcome party complete with carrot bunting.

Also set to take up residence at Hullabazoo Farm are guinea pigs, ferrets, Gloucester old spot pigs and piglets, sheep and, in keeping with Easter, lambs.

Every element of the farm has been specially designed to enable visitors to get closer to the animals than ever before.

They’ll be able to explore the pygmy goats’ walk-through home, groom ponies and join in with daily interactive talks and activities, including hands-on mini keeper sessions, animal handling and storytelling, with keepers on hand to answer all of their farmyard questions.

Joining Whipsnade Zoo for the farm’s opening weekend were Britain’s most famous pig – Peppa. She was meeting and greeting visitors along with her brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig.

Hullabazoo Farm joins Hullabazoo Indoor Play and Hullabazoo Adventure Play, all located at the heart of the zoo and open 364 days of the year.
