Dacorum Sports Trust, which runs the borough’s Sportspace gyms, is hosting the event on Wednesday, February 25 from 9.30am to 12.30pm at both Highfield Community Centre in Fletcher Way and Hemel Hempstead’s Sportspace in Park Road.

Amanda Colwill, from the trust’s sports development team, said: “I’m really excited about the programme specifically aimed at over 65s. It means people can be active with those who are like-minded and of course enjoy the social side too.”

Over the next 12 months, the trust is running sessions, ranging from chair-based classes to Boccia, which is a cross between pétanque and bowls, laughter yoga and social golf sessions.

Funding from Sport England means the trust can offer these sessions at a subsidised rate of just £3.

Amanda said: “The coffee morning is a great opportunity to come and chat to our amazing team and hopefully find an activity that suits them.”
