Dinner theatre is making a comeback at Tring’s Court Theatre

Murder on the Nile by Agatha Christie is being staged nightly from Wednesday, October 22 to Saturday, October 25 at 7.30pm, with dinner on offer during the Friday and Saturday shows.

There will be traditional cabaret style seating on the 22 and 23 and an Egyptian Mezze on the evenings of the 24 and 25.

The menu has been put together by Carolyn Williams Catering and it includes spicy lamb kofta kebabs, falafel, stuffed vine leaves and baklava.

Directed by Eileen Reece, whose previous productions include The Talented Mr Ripley, A Streetcar Named Desire, Aflie and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Agatha Christie’s exquisite ‘who dunnit’ will be performed by a first-class cast.

The production tells the tale of Simon Mostyn who has recently married Kay Ridgeway, a rich woman, having thrown over his former lover Jacqueline de Severac. The couple are on honeymoon on a paddle steamer on the Nile, accompanied by a bevy of memorable characters. Among those present are Canon Pennefather, Lay’s guardian and Jacqueline, who has been dogging their footsteps all through the honeymoon.

Tickets cost £8 on Wednesday, £12 on Thursday and £25 on Friday and Saturday - tickets for the final two days must be booked by October 18.
