Book in for a session of sex, drugs and crime...

Novelist Ruth Jacobs, who also campaigns against sexual exploitation, will be at Waterstones bookshop in St Albans tomorrow, Thursday, from 7pm.

Wednesday, 19th June 2013, 8:09 am

She will be reading from her new crime fiction novel Soul Destruction: Unforgivable and answering questions as well as discussing many of the topics raised in her book including prostitution, rape, drug abuse, addiction and post traumatic stress disorder.

Tickets are £3 in advance redeemable against a copy of the book.

After studying prostitution in the late 1990s, Ruth came up with the idea for the novel, which is intended to be the first in a series.

Maintaining contact with women who have personal experience of prostitution is essential to Ruth as a writer and campaigner.

On her Soul Destruction website she has collated a number of their stories on a page named Voices of Prostitution Survivors.
