The Brambleton Model Railway Club, which began life as an unofficial boys club just after the Second World War and was formally established in 1956, has a set-up which members proudly boast is one of the largest open-air layouts in the country.

The 16mm garden line stretches for nearly 200 yards, while there is also an 0 gauge layout which includes nine stations on a loop of double track.
