Jane Bidder
Jane Bidder...Am I the only one...?
I KNOW I'm not the only one to remember that lovely song by Dana, years ago, called These are a Few of My Favourite Things.
OK. It's official. I've left it too late.
AM I the only one to be gobsmacked (as the kids would put it) to learn that school children are going to be taught how to twitter?
AM I the only one whose mind is always racing ahead?
'Can I have a few friends round to dinner?' asked my almost grown-up daughter last weekend.
Am I the only one who isn't surprised by a recent survey that says it costs thousands of pounds to bring up a teenager nowadays?
The other day, I was defrosting a Tesco meal with one hand, feeding the dog with the other and yelling up the stairs to my son that supper was on the tray (I've finally conceded that lone teenagers and tables don't mix) when the phone rang
'WHERE are you going again?' demanded my 17 year old as I struggled out of the front door with a case in each hand.
IT started with a phone call the other week, from my 'just left home' daughter.
Am I the only one...who's nearly missed parents' evenings?
