Sunday night is jazz night at Welwyn Garden City’s Campus West, where the latest Herts Jazz Club presentation sees the Clark Tracey Quintet centre stage.
Clark puts his normal role as club promoter to one side for the show, putting his latest line-up of young talent through their paces.
Famous names who have passed through the ranks in the past include Guy Barker, Alec Dankworth and Django Bates, and this band continues Clark’s tradition of providing a national platform to the most gifted young musicians.
Clark started young himself, taking on drumming duties for groups led by his father, piano legend Stan, when he was just 17.
Joining him will be Chris Maddock, Henry Armburg Jenning, Reuben James and Daniel Casimir.
Tickets are only £5 for students and U21s, £13 at the door – visit www.hawthornetheatre.co.uk.
