There’s just one week to go before tens of eye-catching vintage vehicles tour through the borough.
The fourth annual Spirit of Dacorum classic car tour takes place next Sunday, May 4, from four points including Apsley’s Shendish Manor, The Red Lion in Water End, Aubrey Park Hotel in Redbourn and Tring’s Pendley Manor, where the historic motoring specimens will converge after a spin through Dacorum.
Last year, the day brought in more than £9,000 for the Dacorum Community Trust, which supports organisations and families in Dacorum.
Event organiser and business development manager at the Trust Keith Foster is keen to remind car enthusiasts that there are still spaces available for the event, which this year hopes to attract more than 100 vehicles.
He said: “We do still have space on the Tour so we are going to offer a turn up on the day option at two of the four locations, Aubrey Park Hotel and the Red Lion pub, prior to 9,30am. For the registration fee of £25 cars can participate in the full tour.
“In addition we shall also have a turn up and display option at Pendley Manor’s event field, where for donations to the charity people can enjoy the day and display their vehicle.”
