Multi-talented Rob Alderton has known what it feels like to top the charts from his days in pop group Sailor – best known for perky hits Girls, Girls Girls and A Glass Of Champagne – but these days the West Herts-based musician is steering a less frantic course with Landing Party.
The group has already played at Pendley’s Court Theatre after a concert tour in 2011, and is now back for more.
Rob, whose back catalogue also includes spells as pianist for stars such as Sir Cliff Richard and work on many West End shows from Les Misérables to Avenue Q, will be joined on stage at the Tring venue by Ian Robertson and five other accomplished musicians from the worlds of folk, rock, musical theatre, classical and jazz.
Their sound is described as a celebration of Britain’s rich musical heritage, and you can find out more at www.landingparty.co.uk
Tickets for Friday night’s gig are £14 for adults with a £2 reduction for concessions, including students and children.
You can book online at www.courttheatre.co.uk or pop into Beechwood Foods in the town centre.
