There will be something to appeal to young and old, from heavy horses, blacksmithing and birds of prey displays to glass blowing, archery, restored cars, vintage tractors and a display of commercial fire and military vehicles.

Other attractions will include plenty of live music plus lots for children to enjoy, with circus skills, Thomas the Tank Engine rides, the chance to explore Dennis the fire engine, plus a huge variety of sideshows.

The exciting weekend takes place on the 62 acre showground of Green Croft Farm in Potten End, HP1 2SG from 10am-5pm on Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31.

The show is held in aid of The Hospice of St Francis and the organisers, The Dacorum Machinery and Steam Preservation Group, have donated over £125k to the Berkhamsted based hospice since the event began nine years ago.

The fund raising helps the hospice to continue to provide special care to people in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire facing life limiting illness.

Andrea Grant, community fund raiser at the hospice, said the fayre is a highlight of the hospice’s community fund raising calender and added: “The support from the local people who enjoy this nostalgic weekend is always incredible and the money raised year on year at the event is crucial to supporting our care.”

Entry to the show costs £8 for adults, £5 for children/concessions or £20 for a family ticket. Parking is free with tractor and trailer rides from the car park to the show entrance. The official opening will take place at 2pm on the Saturday.
