Hertfordshire author Dermot Turing, nephew of legendary Bletchley Park code breaker Alan Turing, will discuss his biography Decoded.

Other top names captured for the event include Great British Bake-Off winner Edd Kimber and novelist Renee Knight.

The two day festival (Friday May 20 and Saturday 21) kicks off at 7.30pm on the Friday evening with Ms Knight who will speak in the church for an hour. Her Gone-Girl style thriller Disclaimer was in the bestselling lists earlier this year. Tickets £10 include a glass of wine.

On Saturday afternoon from 4-5pm Mr Turing will speak in the church about the book he wrote after having had access to family letters and diaries which provide a unique insight into the extraordinary life of his mathematician uncle whose personal life ended in tragedy. Tickets £10 include a voucher for a tea or coffee in the village hall before or after the talk.

Edd Kimber, who has written three books, will be in conversation with BBC broadcaster Sybil Ruscoe from 2.30 - 3.30pm in the village hall. Tickets £10 include tea or coffee and a scone.

The programme also features a children’s story telling session, creative writing boot camp and a sports session with journalist Alan Fraser in the church from 1-2pm on Saturday. His book, The Hitler Trophy : Golf and the Olympic Games, is published this month (May). Tickets £7.

Visitors can meet and speak to the authors and get books signed. Waterstones will be selling books on both days. Proceeds will help support Friends of St Leonards to raise funds for repair work.
