There's plenty on offer at Tring Learning Centre whether you're interested in painting, history or even Egyptian dancing.
Historian Adam Smith will be revealing the secrets of the Rothschilds in his course The Rothschilds and the Vale of Aylesbury, including what it was like to work as a servant for the wealthy banking family.

Experienced photographer and artist David Satchel will be sharing his wealth of knowledge with budding painters in his course Learn How To Draw and Paint Portraits.

Mr Satchel has been a photographer with The Gazette for many years and has also taught at West Herts College.

Mums and dads can find out how to communicate better with their teenage children in Living with your Teenager and those wanting to become
computer whizzes should try out the Computer Class for Beginners or for the more advanced there's an intermediate course.

Try your hand at Italian or Indian cookery or learn the art of calming yoga or energetic Egyptian dance.

To tie in with Tring's annual Apple Fayre there will be a one-off lesson on cooking with the fruit in October with ingredients being paid for through sponsorship by soon-to-open Tring High Street restaurant The Green House.

Courses run at the learning centre based in Tring School, Mortimer Hill, throughout the year with many starting from September.

To find out dates and prices visit www.tringlearningcentre.org, call Heather Simms on 01442 821067 or email hsimms@tring.herts.sch.uk.
